Bringing people together to enjoy a mutual interest in painting and creating is one of the great things about art – it knows no boundaries and imposes no restrictions. I really enjoy sharing my experience and enthusiasm, through my workshops and individual tuition, with people who may never have painted before or who are interested in learning new techniques.
This year I am developing a series of classes in a variety of media and am currently focusing on a one and two-day Acrylic workshop which invites people, who may never have painted or used this medium before, to try their hand. Numbers will be limited to five to maintain an individual focus and the emphasis will always be on informal, relaxed and fun!
Future workshops may include Mixed Media; Pastels & Charcoal; Dartmoor sketching and painting; using photographic images; colour mixing and lots more.
The aim is not to ‘teach’ someone to paint like me [or anyone else] but to facilitate and encourage a personal discovery through experimenting, risk-taking, understanding techniques and being okay with making mistakes!
In a busy and often stressful life, creativity can offer a sanctuary from its busy pace and allow us to lose ourselves in the moment. We never know what we can achieve until we have a go.
