Art Classes

Art Classes at Wildwood Art Gallery

A Very Warm Welcome

A warm & welcoming space to grow your confidence and creativity

A very warm welcome to Wildwood Art Gallery.
If you’re looking for friendly, supportive art lessons in a calm and beautiful gallery setting, you’ve found the right place.

These classes are designed to help you feel comfortable, encouraged, and inspired. Whether you’re completely new to art or returning after a long break, you’ll be guided with patience and care, in an environment where there’s no pressure and no judgement — just a shared love of creativity.

Everyone arrives with different interests and abilities — and that’s very much welcomed. With such a small group, Cheri is able to work one-to-one with each person, offering individual guidance while still enjoying the relaxed, supportive feel of a shared class.

It’s a friendly group of people who simply enjoy making art together. You’ll also be joined by Claude the gallery dog, who is excellent company and usually asleep nearby.

If you’re curious about the classes or wondering whether they might be right for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch. A friendly chat can help you decide, with no pressure at all.

Meet Your Tutor – Cheri Hunston

I am a fully qualified teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and over 20 years experience teaching people of all ages and abilities.

Alongside teaching, I have been a professional artist for more than a decade, exhibiting with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and the Society for Graphic Fine Art

In 2017, I founded Wildwood Art Gallery, a space created not only to exhibit art, but to nurture creativity, support artists, and welcome people into the world of art in a meaningful way. This depth of experience gently underpins every lesson, giving students both reassurance and inspiration.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching. Sharing my knowledge and supporting others to realise ttheir goals is a real joy.  It’s wonderful to watch students grow confidently in their creative expression and I am extremely proud of the art they produce.

Still want to know more? Then please take a look at our student testimonials and read what they think and view the student gallery to see what they have been creating. Plus click on the links below to view more detailed descriptions of either the weekly classes or private tuition.  If you still have questions you can always give me a call or send me an e-mail and I will be happy to help.
