Cheri Hunston is a fully qualified and experienced teacher. She has been teaching all age groups for over twenty years. Consequently, she has a deep understanding of student needs and how to help individuals develop on their learning journey.
Cheri has been a professional artist for 12 years and has exhibited with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and the Society for Graphic Fine Art. Her work is in private collections across the world.
Cheri, also established Wildwood Art Gallery in 2017 from where she has supported West Country artists in their careers and gained a wide understanding of the art market and knowledge of art history. She is also a member of The Association of Women Art Dealers.
Why learning with us is so different
- Our classes are small. We have a maximum of 5 students. One-to-one teaching in a small group so it is bespoke to you.
- Our classes & workshops are run by a a fully qualified and experienced teacher, a professional artist, who is also a gallery owner.
- Our classes & workshops are art focused with some socializing thrown in not the other way around.
- Most classes & workshops are about copying the teacher’s style. Ours are about developing your OWN style.
- The teaching area is within the Gallery which has ample natural light. You will be surrounded by beautiful art works to inspire you; they’re useful teaching aids too.
- We have our own What’s App group to share what we have done, support one another and to share useful tips and videos.
- We are on Dartmoor with beautiful scenery and lots of inspiration.
